How To Remove Wallpaper?

Start by taking down all the artwork and wall decor. Your walls would be sprayed with a solvent, so you need to cover the floors with a plastic tarp to prevent damage. Any electrical outlet can be covered with painter’s tape. Later, the remaining wallpaper from the taped area can be taken off. Make sure you shut off the electricity at the main breaker. No matter how thin it appears, wallpaper actually contains two layers: an inside adhesive layer and a typically vinyl-coated outer layer. These layers need to be peeled back carefully.

You must spray a hot water solvent over your walls after scoring the wallpaper. Make sure to apply the solution with a rag or a pressure sprayer. Your wall could be pierced if you use the scraper tool or putty knife directly. However, if your walls are weakened and age-old, you should think about hiring our specialist to prevent future damage. After removing the wallpaper, we typically use an oil-based primer to paint the walls.
